Riding
In Dals Långed, about 30 minutes from the house, there is the possibility to explore the Dalsland countryside on horseback. The offer of the farm Steneby Gård offers tours by the hour and also full-day treks for beginners and advanced riders.

Canoe tours
It is a wonderful thing to explore the countless lakes of Dalsland comfortably by canoe. Whether a day trip on the beautiful Stora Le or through the locks of the Dalsland Canal – The offer is varied.
There are a number of rental companies in Dalsland that offer boats and equipment for one-day and multi-day trips. Two examples that we have already tried:
- Canodal in Dals Ed – Beautifully situated on the south shore of the huge Stora Le. The owner will pick you up at the end of the tour if you wish by arrangement.
- Silverlake in Bengstfors – Perfectly located for tours in the beautiful lakes around Bengstfors and along the Dalsland Canal.
Trolley tours
There is a somewhat unusual way of getting around on a disused railroad line that runs through the countryside between Bengtsfors and Årjäng. The trolleys can be rented at Bengstfors station for any sections along the route.
